March 9, 2005 – Fujifilm announced a firmware update for two of its digital cameras: the F440 and the F450. The version 2.1 firmware will improve the lighting of the LCD screen, making it easier to view and compose shots in dark areas. The update is available under the Support & Contact Center section of the Fujifilm web site. Users must format their memory cards and use an AC adaptor to power the camera while the firmware is upgraded. This process takes about two minutes.
