At this year's Photokina, we had a chance to get some quick impressions of what the new Panasonic Lumix GM5 (MSRP $899.99 w/ 12–32mm lens) is capable of.

We were all too excited to shoot with the new EVF (electronic view finder) as we thought it was something that the GM1 really needed. While it isn't the best EVF on the market, something is always better than nothing... right? At the very least, this tiny Micro Four Thirds camera offers up some meaningful improvements to the GM1's controls and handling.

When we got back from our adventure across the pond, we had a whole pile of goodies waiting to be tried out–including our review sample of the GM5. This past weekend, we took the GM5 out for a spin around the beautiful city of Boston–just for you, of course.

Take a look at what we were able to capture while out and about here in Boston. Let us know what you think in the comment section below. We shot these samples with the GM5's 12-35mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens, and also with Panasonic's premium Leica-branded 15mm f/1.7, a compact prime that fits the GM5 like an itty-bitty glove.
