All cameras reproduce colors differently. Some oversaturate colors, making them more vivid but also less natural, while others undersaturate colors, making them more subtle but also dull. Ideally cameras will reproduce colors as accurately as possible. We test color accuracy by photographing a GretagMacbeth ColorChecker test chart and comparing the colors the camera reproduces with the ideal colors of the test chart.
