August 8, 2007 – Nikon has released an upgrade for photo workflow and editing manager Capture NX. Version 1.2, compatible with Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later and Windows Vista, updates any of Capture NX’s three earlier versions.

Nikon expanded on current features for Capture NX 1.2. The update still features U point technology, which gives users a simplified way to edit select areas of a photo without masks or layers, as well as a shortcut browser view.

Improving the interface was Nikon’s primary focus was with its latest version, and several bugs found in earlier versions are fixed in version 1.2. Nikon has also made opening images in the program faster than before.

For Capture NX users, the free upgrade for both Mac and Windows is available for download from Nikon’s website. A free 30-day trial for new users is also available.
