October 19, 2005 - No manufacturer is safe from faulty CCDs, it seems. Kyocera Japan has issued a service advisory for the Contax TVS DIGITAL, Finecam S5R, Finecam S5, and Finecam S3L cameras, which can be found here: http://www.kyocera.co.jp/news/2005/ccd.html

No service advisory has been posted on Kyocera’s US page, but contact information for general camera servicing can be found here: http://www.kyoceraimaging.com/customer.asp
