Yep, it's that time of year again, camera lovers! Black Friday always brings us plenty of deals on cameras big and small, and this year is no exception.

So if you're in the market for a new camera this holiday season, read on to see what's worth waiting in line for. And if you're on the fence over whether to buy a particular model, be sure to click through to our in-depth review for all the details.

Pentax K-3

Price: $796.95 w/ coupon code EARLYPEEK at Adorama (body-only w/ extras) Store: Adorama, B&H Availability: Now

Though Pentax DSLRs are often overlooked in favor of models from Canon and Nikon, they're some of our favorites. The Pentax K-3 is the brand's flagship, offering a fantastic 24-megapixel APS-C sensor, the best Pentax autofocus system to date, full weather-sealing, and superb ergonomics. In terms of image quality, it's every bit the equal of rivals like the Nikon D7100 and Canon 7D Mark II.

This month, Adorama is selling it for just $796.95 with the genuine D-BG5 battery grip and a 32GB memory card. B&H Photo has matched Adorama's great price, including the battery grip in the package (you don't get an SD card) Considering that the K-3's MSRP is $1,299.95, that's quite a significant savings.

Pentax K-5 IIs

Price: $496 (body-only) / $530 (w/ grip + 64GB SDXC card) Stores: Adorama / B&H Availability: Now

If $800 is more than you want to spend, the K-5IIs is almost the equal of the K-3, and since it's almost two years old, you can pick one up for a pittance.

B&H and Adorama both have deals going on this month. For around $500, you can grab this camera with free expedited shipping from Adorama. B&H is offering the camera for $530 with the D-BG4 battery grip and a 64GB SDXC memory card.

Olympus OM-D E-M5

Price: $599 (body-only) Stores: B&H, Adorama, Amazon Availability: Now

Even though it's been out since 2012, the Olympus OM-D E-M5 remains a solid choice for shooters who want to try out a mirrorless camera. It's about as capable as the OM-Ds that followed it, with excellent 5-axis image stabilization and a reliable 16-megapixel Four Thirds sensor. Best of all, it's compatible with all of Olympus and Panasonic's excellent M43 lenses, as well as virtually every other lens ever made via simple mechanical adapters.

If you opt for the E-M5 over the lower-end OM-D E-M10, you'll get better image stabilization and weather-sealing for $100 less. Snag one for $599 while they last through B&H Camera (by itself) and Adorama (with an SD card and some freebies), and on Amazon too.

Ricoh GR

Price: $600 Stores: Adorama, B&H Availability: Black Friday (Nov. 28)

The Ricoh GR is one of our favorite cameras of recent years (and a best of year winner in 2013), and you can now pick on up for historic low prices. Even though it debuted at the very reasonable price of $800, today you can get one with extras for only $600.

This pint-sized point-and-shoot features a DSLR-sized sensor and a very sharp 28mm prime (35mm equivalent) lens and a customizable set of comfortable controls. For our money, B&H has the best offer going right now, bundling the bright Ricoh GV-1 optical viewfinder with its GR. Adorama's deal is very good, but we'd rather have the finder from B&H than the Ricoh GF-1 flash Adorama is giving away. Both bundles include a 32 GB SD card.

Nikon D3200

Price: $499 (two-lens kit) Stores: Walmart Availability: Black Friday (Nov. 28)

This is only $50 off the regular price, but that just shows how good of a deal the Nikon D3200 already is. With two lenses and a bag to pack everything into, it's a complete starter kit.

While you won't get cutting-edge performance, the D3200 offers a great 24-megapixel APS-C sensor, solid 1080p video recording, and speedy autofocus. The included lenses are standard fare: 18-55mm and 55-200 zooms (with Nikon's in-lens image stabilization) covering a useful wide-to-telephoto range.

While you could have nabbed this deal last year, it's back again at Walmart. You'll have to wait for Black Friday for this deal to become available, so cool your jets until then.

Nikon Coolpix L830

Price: $169 Stores: Radio Shack, Sears Availability: Black Friday (Nov. 28)

If a DSLR is more camera than you want to handle, Best Buy has a well-priced travel zoom point-and-shoot that'll scratch your itch for better-than-smartphone photos.

The Nikon Coolpix L830 was introduced earlier this year, offering 34x optical zoom in a compact package. It's also powered by AA batteries, so you'll always be able to juice up, even in foreign lands.

A few outlets will be selling this $300 camera for only $169 on Black Friday, including Radio Shack and Sears.

Sony A5000

Price: $299 (with kit lens) Stores: Best Buy Availability: Black Friday (Nov. 28)

A jaw-droppingly great deal at its normal street price of $399, the Sony A5000 gets an even lower price this holiday season.

If you're not yet sold on mirrorless cameras, this little beast will convince you otherwise. It packs DSLR image quality into a package not much bigger than some point-and-shoots, and comes equipped with Sony's compact 16-50mm power zoom kit lens.

The A5000 earned our Best Value Mirrorless Camera of the Year award this year, and at $299, it's a total no-brainer. Best Buy looks to be the only company letting it go at this price, so keep an eye on its site for more details on the big day.

GoPro Hero3+ Silver

Price: $249 Stores: Best Buy Availability: Black Friday (Nov. 28)

If you want a solid action cam, you really can't do much better than a GoPro. Last generation's Hero3+ Silver was already a decent deal at its original $299 price, but if that's too rich for your blood, it'll be available on Black Friday for only $249.

The Hero3+ Silver includes a waterproof case, built-in WiFi, and a couple of sticky mounts. It shoots full-HD (1080/60p) video and offers up a few different field-of-view settings from its wide-angle lens.

You'll be able to find this deal through Best Buy starting Black Friday, lasting through the shopping weekend of November 27th–29th.

Canon EOS Rebel T3i

Price: $499 (two-lens deluxe kit) Stores: Best Buy Availability: Black Friday (Nov. 28)

While it's getting a little long in the tooth (it was released way back in 2011), the Rebel T3i is a solid starter DSLR with an 18-megapixel APS-C sensor, tilt-n-swivel rear LCD, and 1080p video recording.

This kit includes the standard 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens, along with a 75-300mm f/4-5.6 telephoto zoom. You'll also get a Canon bag, HDMI cable, and a 16GB memory card in the bargain. Not a bad way to get into a much better than any smartphone.
