If you are using a newer Sony camera and have issues with images not being viewable in camera, or becoming corrupt, try using the camera menu function to rebuild the image database. If that doesn't work, try using recovery software on the card. Then you have to remember to either permanently delete images off the card (by emptying the recycle bin in Windows after moving the files), or by formatting the card before every use. Alternatively, you can leave the card in the camera and plug it in via USB (rather than taking the card out and using a card reader), or you can leave all photos on the card (just "copy" rather than "move" to the computer) until the card gets full, then format.

PREVIOUS REVIEW: It was working great for photos & video (pro photographer) on A7II, for about 4 months. Then one day I came to the office after a day of shooting and most of the files were corrupt. I was able to use software to recover some, but not all, and some that were recovered were unreadable or part-corrupted (you can see just half the image, or colored lines running through image). I've used a lot of recovery software over the years, for hard drives and other people's memory cards. This time I used Disk Drill and DMDE. These were more successful than a couple of other programs I tried.
I did some research and tried using special formatting software designed by the inventors of SD (SD Formatter). Worked for a couple weeks, then the problem happened again. I tried formatting in-camera, and again it works for a while, then starts corrupting. I also tried rebuilding image database, which sometimes solves the issue of the camera not showing images, but not always the corruption. I've been using a different SD card (just an older, slower Sandisk I had laying around). No issues in a couple weeks of use, so I *think* the problem was this Sony card (not the camera, fortunately). I've never had any issues with other SD cards in Sony bodies, or any CF cards in Canon bodies. I shoot about 150,000 photos per year.
I contacted Sony support and the guy I talked to was very confused. He incorrectly entered numbers that I gave him, and he read number to me incorrectly several times. I could tolerate that, but they require me to mail them the card for inspection. They don't provide a replacement first, or pay for shipping. Maybe I'm spoiled by support from other companies, but I still don't think I should have to pay and wait for an indeterminable period of time to get a replacement SD card (and we'll see if they even do replace it). I would just throw it away and buy a new SD card, but I really do want to have it professionally tested by Sony to see what they say.
I'm going with another brand for my next SD card, and this poor support makes me think less of Sony. I'm already invested in Sony camera gear, so I'm probably sticking with it. But now I know I need a more comprehensive backup plan in case of equipment failure, because they don't have my back.
I used to have to carry around two, sometimes 3. I'm a photo and video finatic (and You Tuber.) This serves its purpose so well and is very high quality!! (Fast too!) 10 stars!
