April 20, 2005 *– Pentax posted a firmware update today for its square-shaped Optio X. The version 1.01 firmware improves the performance of the auto focus system and fixes a problem the camera encountered when users would change an image folder name from the standard to the date. The 5-megapixel Pentax Optio X was introduced last August and sports a 2-inch LCD screen, 14 MB of internal memory, and a long list of scene modes including "gray pet" and "black pet."
