Bringing another Micro Four Thirds camera into the fold, Panasonic is today taking the wraps off the brand-new GH4. Despite looking like the GH3, the outwardly similar appearance belies a massive overhaul under the hood.

The updates are designed to enable faster shutter speeds, higher bitrates, and UHD (aka 4K) video. While we do expect image quality to be roughly in line with the GX7, the real focus here is on video. The new 16.05-megapixel Live MOS sensor—in conjunction with the rest of the GH4's guts—grants it the ability to shoot 4K video at 30 frames per second. That's complemented by a host of other features and accessories including the DMW-YAGH: A dock that features HD-SDI and XLR audio inputs.

We were given a sneak peek in Boston earlier this week, and if you'd like to hear more about the camera, you can read all about it in our first impressions review. Panasonic's representatives weren't able to tell us pricing, however it should hit stores around mid-March 2014. Be sure to stay tuned for further updates as CP+ progresses.
