Leica has officially unveiled its first modern compact system camera, an aluminum camera with an APS-C sensor, new lens mount, and a body designed by Audi. It has a brand new touch interface that is one of the most intuitive that we've ever seen and the kind of image quality that lives up the Leica name.

We actually had a chance to check out the new Leica T and run it through our gauntlet of lab tests. We also got to shoot with it over the course of several days. To check out our full performance review of Leica T, head right here.

Overall, we found the camera to be about on par with some of the better APS-C cameras on the market. It's also not an insanely expensive piece of kit, with early pricing looking to be around $1,600 body-only (though that might be in flux). For more on the Leica T including all of our lab results and full resolution samples, we recommend you head over to our full review.
