June 19, 2006 – iView released MediaPro 3.1.1, a free update to their digital management software program Media Pro3.1, on Friday.

The UK-based company released its much anticipated MediaPro 3 in 2005. Since then, improved updates to the cataloging software have become available, geared towards professional digital photographers and enthusiasts.

Coming just two weeks after the release of MediaPro 3.1, the 3.1.1 update promises full IPTC (UTF8 encoded) metadata support. The metadata sync is now compatible with Nikon (NEF), Kodak (DCR), and Canon (CR2) Raw images. MediaPro 3.1.1 also offers improved imports for Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Photoshop Album. Among other improvements, MediaPro 3.1.1 corrects reading certain Windows memory cards, updating FTP galleries, and batching for email.
