December 12, 2005 - Fantasea (pronounced ‘fantasy’), a maker of submersible housings for Nikon digital camera bodies and accessories, has announced that a housing for Nikon’s D50 and their new Coolpix models will finally be available as of January 1st.

As with the housings that are already available for the Nikon D70 and D70s, the casing provides an operating depth of up to 60 meters (200 ft) and extensive use of automatic and manual control options.

Fantasea will also be releasing the FP-1 for the Coolpix P1 and P2 and the FS-1 for the Nikon Coolpix S1and S3. These latest Coolpix housings come with an anti-glare hood over the LCD screen and enable 5 Camera Function Controls: zoom/wide angle, review, restore, Flash on/off and Macro on/off.

Fantasea already offers an extensive line of housings for various Nikon Coolpix models:

CP-3 for Nikon Coolpix 3100 and 2100

CP-3N for the Coolpix 5100, 4100, 3200 and 2200

CP-4 Sport Housing for the 4300 and 885

CP-4 Pro Camera Housing for 4300 and 885

CP-5 for 4200 & 5200

All housings come with flood insurance and a standard lens port. Prices start at $950 for the DSLR housings and range from $117-$800 depending on the Coolpix model.
