Canon Releases Firmware Updates for EOS 5D and 1D Mark II n

December 20, 2005 –* Today Canon released two new firmware updates, one for the Canon EOS 5D (v1.0.3) and one for the EOS-1D Mark II n (v1.0.2).

The Canon EOS-1D Mark II n firmware update v1.0.2 institutes the following changes:

o During Bulb shooting, the file-numbering error will no longer happen.

o The LCD monitor brightness has been improved.

o The Russian language MENU displays have been freed of any mistakes.

The Canon EOS 5D firmware update v1.0.3 includes:

o Stopping the creation of unwanted large image files (1.7 GB) when vertical images are taken in the Auto Image Rotation mode.

o Greater LCD monitor brightness for easier outdoor shooting.

o A fix for operational abnormalities while in Auto Exposure Bracketing mode.

o A fix for the Swedish-language menu displays.
