Introduction

Sony will add another option to their NEX lineup with the new NEX-5R, a similar model to the existing NEX-5N. Control is the name of the game this time around. A single physical control dial has been added, just like the ones found on the NEX-7, and focus performance should be much better thanks to a new 99-point phase-detection AF system. The rear LCD has also been improved for more flexible shooting angles.

The NEX-5R will be available mid-October for $750.
