Fast Shutter Speeds to Capture the Moment

Featuring a top shutter speed of 1/8000 of a second, along with a quick autofocus system, the NX30 enables you to capture movements that can't be seen by the naked eye. You can shoot continuously at 9 frames per second (FPS) for brilliant, clear stills of fast-moving action.

    Wi-Fi Connectivity for Easy Sharing

Thanks to built-in Wi-Fi capability, the NX30 makes it easy to post pictures and videos--along with comments--to Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, and other sites. Full HD Video Recording with HDMI Output for Playback

With the NX30, you can not only shoot photos, but you can also take 1080p Full HD videos. The Smart Range+ feature automatically gives tonal detail a boost, resulting in brighter shadows and darker highlights. Use the HDMI interface to play your video back on an HDTV.

Additionally, when you combine the camera with a 3D lens (sold separately), you get true 3D photos and videos (3D TV system required to view in 3D).

Photo Beam to Share Photos with One Touch

Like other Samsung devices, the NX30 features Photo Beam technology, which makes it a snap to share photos. Simply tap the camera on any NFC-compatible smartphone to automatically share whichever image you're currently viewing.

Save Photos in Real Time with AutoShare

With Samsung's AutoShare feature, you can send photos instantly to an NFC-compatible smartphone or tablet--just as you're shooting them--over a Wi-Fi connection. This makes it easy to back up photos and share them wherever you are.

    Remote ViewFinder Pro

When you connect the camera to select smartphones, you can use the Remote ViewFinder Pro app to turn your phone into a viewfinder. A SMART Panel allows you to adjust camera settings, including shutter speed, Iris, exposure control, ISO, and white balance--all wirelessly from the screen of your smartphone. This feature also lets you GPS-tag your photos.

Send Files Using Mobile Link, Even Without Wi-Fi

Based on NFC technology, Samsung's Mobile Link app lets you select and send photos or albums to a designated smartphone or tablet, even when you're away from a Wi-Fi hotspot, and without having to send the photos as a text message or an email. The app also lets you manage photos on your smartphone and save the changes automatically to the camera.

Transfer Files with PC Auto Backup

Saving photos, video clips, and more to your computer is easy with the NX30. Just select the PC Auto Backup function, and the camera will wirelessly transfer all of the files on the camera to your PC or Mac.

Samsung Link to Connect with Other Devices

Thanks to Samsung Link, you can connect this camera wirelessly with other nearby Samsung Link-enabled devices and share photos and videos or upload them to your web storage service.

Save Files to Your Personal Cloud with HomeSync

Samsung's HomeSync feature allows you to save photos and videos to your own personal storage cloud and share them. Even if you're somewhere else in the world, you can share what you capture in real time with your family at home, with photos and videos streamed right to your Samsung Smart TV.

Powerful Image Processing with DRIMe IV

Powered by Samsung's next-generation DSP imaging engine, the DRIMe IV image processor delivers superior color reproduction and noise reduction whether you're shooting in 2D or 3D.

Wide ISO Range for Clear Low-Light Shots

Well suited for capturing natural-looking images indoors or outside at night, the NX30 lets you shoot up to ISO 25600, making it twice as sensitive to light as the previous model of this camera. As a result, you can snap high-speed photos with minimal noise and blurring, even in low-light conditions.

    i-Function System for Photo Adjustments

Using this camera's i-Function control, you can quickly and intuitively adjust the aperture, shutter speed, EV, and ISO range with a single button and a value ring on the lens. i-Function also lets you program existing buttons with frequently used settings and set up shortcut keys.

Very satisfied with NX30! (included a comparison to the NX2000)
For the last couple of years I had been going on trips with my NX2000 because of it lightweight, portable design while still having the functionality and quality of a DSLR with the option to change out lenses on the fly. It worked, however there was a consistent complaint with it and it drove me to purchase the NX30 for my serious intentions with capturing the sights that I see.I couldn't be happier as it the EVR is clear and adjustable to for the many low angle shots that I tend to take. Just be sure to adjust the focus of the EVR so you'll get a nice sharp view. Took me a while to realize that the adjustment knob was on the elbow of the EVR and initially I was disappointed the view wasn't clear. Thankfully, I'm just a dummy and didn't read the manual upon opening. The adjustable LCD screen is a welcomed experience as it helps with those an low angle, high angle, and selfie shots. The screen can be clearly seen outdoors, even with the sunlight. Both these features were absolutely necessary after working with the NX2000, which had nothing like this experience. I mention this in case any one is making the comparison between the NX30 and NX2000. The added conveniences these two options supply make capturing so much easier and far less frustrating as I might have had with the NX2000, so my recommendation would be the NX30 based purely off that aspect.Beyond that, this camera has a lot of the same qualities as the NX2000 with the addition of the dial wheels, which again, make the experience of manually setting aperture and exposure a breeze. I've used traditional DSLRs so the experience and the button layout are pretty similar with the exception of the power switch being a little too easy to flip on and off occasionally.Great image quality with maybe a little softer edge than a higher end camera.Nice and light, but it still feels sturdy in my hands. Easy to stash away in my bag while I'm on the go.The 'Smart Auto' features are fun to play with if you find yourself feeling creative, but often I'm in Manual or Shutter Priority mode.I was really impressed that there was a timer-intervalometer built into the camera! I hadn't expected it and really is a polished touch. I was able to sit in the park with and capture a time-lapse with this camera, and my NX2000 (with a remote switch) and it made for some interesting results.Awesome primary camera. Very applicable to all situations provided the right settings and peripherals. I still use my NX2000 in tandem with this one, but it is for more specific shots since as I mentioned it is not nearly as user-friendly as the NX30. I recommend it for the beginner and even some intermediate users that want to do some serious work with the photography. RAW files work excellently in Adobe Lightroom (which is included with the camera bundle).

4.0 out of 5 stars Goodbye SLR :)
Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2015
Love it ...moving from nikon d700 and nikon d300. This thing feels much lighter and still means business. I used it for wedding for the first time about 3 months ago. Some thing that could be improved: the battery life, the start up time could be faster, the auto focus seems a tad slower than nikon d700 but hey I was not using the samsung professional lens so that could be the problem.

    what i love about this:
    - lightweight, feels good in my hand ..i have a medium sized hand. hours of hand holding this, i don't feel strain at all. What a big difference from an SLR camera.
    - love that flip-able and tilt-able screen
    - love the real time screen view of what you are going to capture ...i think this is the future of photography ...no more view finder ?
    - love the wifi implementation
    - and love the touch screen although sometime it could be annoying because when i hang it on my shoulder it accidentally touches my body.

After 3 weddings using this camera, i have to reduce 5 star to 4 star for one major reason:
    - it was frozen several times during the wedding, completely locked up. I had to open the battery compartment, take out and put it back in. I suspect Samsung could remedy this using the next software upgrade.

Also I have to change the battery 3-4 times during the wedding. I shoot about 1000-1400 images in a 8-10 hours wedding with one camera, shooting using screen and hardly no viewfinder at all.

What i really love about this, and I think it makes me change the way I shoot my wedding is the tilt-able screen. Now, I could shoot an image that would have been impossible with my previous camera (non tilt-able screen or using viewfinder). I could shoot from a very difficult angle!
The other thing is that I could shoot an image where the subject does not know that I am shooting at it. So the subject is not aware, and that makes it beautiful! The subject/s see that I am looking at my camera screen and from an unusual angle. There are many situations before where i shoot using viewfinder and before i managed to shoot the picture, the subject already aware and there goes the picture!
